Well, I've been 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦, even without the list of passers. I know it might seem “OA”, but I've poured out all my feelings in my notes to lessen the stress and remind myself that 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳.
And now, finally, 𝙄 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚! I’ve passed the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), and I’m officially 𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥!
𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗣𝗢 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗜 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗘𝗧.
𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗣 𝗣𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗟𝗘.
𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀. The scope of our major is incredibly vast, and I have focused my review almost entirely on it. We studied the fundamentals and mastered various concepts, including 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆, 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗿𝘆, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 (𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀), 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗜𝗖𝗧, 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲-𝘂𝗽), 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 (𝗔𝗙𝗔), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀. To top it all off, we even covered Basic and Action Research! 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘛𝘓𝘌 𝘮𝘢𝘫𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘢𝘭—— Hindi kami 𝙋𝙐𝙏𝘾𝙃𝙊-𝙋𝙐𝙏𝘾𝙃𝙊!
The concepts that appeared on the board exam were much deeper than what we studied. Bang-hirap po talaga ng TLE! With each question, we had to shift our mindset and approach. For instance, Question Number 1 was about Cosmetology, Number 2 was on Drafting, and Number 3 focused on Electronics. Some questions were truly confusing because they introduced new concepts and unfamiliar terminology. To be honest, out of the 150 items, I only felt confident with about 30 questions, mostly basic concepts and a bit of advanced mastery. ——— 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩? 𝙄 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙚. 🙏
As TVL teachers, we have the incredible potential to be 𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴, 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴, 𝘣𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘧𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘯, 𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴, 𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴, 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳𝘴.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺; I’ve faced challenges with 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴. I felt as though I was floating in the clouds, only to realize that there was an even higher wall I needed to climb. It felt daunting. The 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘦. After all, being a 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 raised hopes— 𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘢𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘨-𝘣𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘬 𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘓𝘌𝘛?
More so, 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵, and we simply can't afford to pay for review centers (san naman kami kukuha ng Php 12,000) . So, I decided to 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥. However, by 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, Gurong Pinoy offered a discount, and I seized that opportunity.
𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗕𝗢. 𝗗𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗟. 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗠𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗟 —these three ingredients help me to ease the pressure and make my review more manageable and meaningful. For one month, I spent 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 from October 26 up until September 27 of this year reading and answering my own table tests via Google Forms (150-360 test items each day), 10 flashcards, studying 6 books (from Lorimar and CBRC), and tirelessly reviewing and memorizing some of the topics that I will encounter during my examination.
𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗜 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗛𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗧, 𝗞𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦, 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗟.
