Tabango, Leyte – In a resounding display of journalistic prowess and collaborative spirit, Calubian National High School (CNHS) has claimed the coveted Overall Championship title at the Area III Schools Press Conference (ASPC) 2024. Held from December 15th to 17th in the vibrant town of Tabango, Leyte, the competition saw CNHS rise above the challenges, showcasing exceptional talent and unwavering dedication to the craft of journalism.

The three-day event was a whirlwind of intense competition, featuring students from various schools across Area III, each vying for top honors in a range of journalistic categories. From the meticulously crafted news articles to the compelling feature stories, the captivating photojournalism, and the engaging editorial pieces, the level of competition was fierce. Yet, amidst the pressure and the high stakes, the CNHS team remained composed, demonstrating a remarkable level of skill and teamwork that ultimately propelled them to victory.

 

The CNHS delegation, comprised of a diverse and highly talented group of student journalists, impressed judges with their insightful reporting, creative writing, and polished presentation skills. Their work consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of journalistic principles, including accuracy, fairness, and objectivity. They tackled complex issues with nuance and sensitivity, while also showcasing their ability to engage readers with compelling narratives and visually stunning imagery.
