Manzano’s Dominance Lifts Adamson
Leading the charge for the Soaring Falcons was big man Cedrick Manzano, who delivered one of the most stellar performances of his UAAP career. Manzano recorded a double-double, finishing with a season-high 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. His presence on both ends of the floor was critical, as he not only anchored Adamson’s defense but also provided timely baskets to maintain their lead.

"I just wanted to give everything I had on the court tonight," Manzano shared in the post-game interview. "This is for my teammates, the coaching staff, and all the Adamson supporters who never stopped believing in us."

Manzano’s contributions were complemented by solid outings from teammates Matthew Montebon and Joshua Yerro. Montebon chipped in 13 points and dished out six assists, while Yerro added seven points and seven rebounds, showcasing the depth of Adamson's roster.

UE's Season Ends in Heartbreak
The defeat marked a bitter end for the UE Red Warriors, who were looking to cap off their rollercoaster season with a Final Four appearance. After starting strong in the first round of eliminations, the Recto-based squad struggled in the latter half, losing six consecutive games to crash out of contention.

The Red Warriors were led by Jack Cruz-Dumont, who tallied 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Despite his valiant effort, it wasn’t enough to keep UE’s season alive.

Adding to UE’s woes, Precious Momowei suffered a harrowing moment in the fourth quarter when he landed awkwardly after attempting to block Montebon’s floater at the 3:25 mark. Momowei, a key contributor for UE throughout the season, had to be stretchered off the court, dampening the team's spirits further.

"It’s tough to end the season this way, but I’m proud of the effort our boys showed," UE head coach Jack Santiago said. "We’ll learn from this and come back stronger next season."

Adamson Prepares for Semifinal Clash Against DLSU
The victory secured Adamson a place in the semifinals, where they will face the formidable De La Salle University Green Archers. The Green Archers, who dominated the eliminations and earned a twice-to-beat advantage, are the reigning champions and have been a force to reckon with all season.

Adamson head coach Nash Racela acknowledged the uphill battle his team faces. "It’s a tough matchup, no doubt," Racela admitted. "La Salle is the top team for a reason, but we’ll prepare and give it our all. Making it to the Final Four is already a huge achievement, but we’re not settling. The goal is to compete and give ourselves a chance to win."

The semifinal game is scheduled for November 30 at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The Soaring Falcons will look to capitalize on their momentum and pull off an upset against the heavily favored Green Archers.

UE's Struggles Continue
The Red Warriors' latest loss extends their playoff drought to an agonizing 15 seasons. Despite showing flashes of brilliance this year, the team’s inconsistency proved costly in the end.

Fans and analysts alike have pointed to UE’s lack of depth and experience as key reasons for their struggles. While players like Cruz-Dumont and Momowei have shown promise, the team will need to address its roster and execution issues in the offseason to finally break through the semifinals barrier.

Adamson’s Rise as a Contender
For the Soaring Falcons, the season has been one of resilience and growth. Under the guidance of Coach Racela, Adamson has developed into a cohesive unit capable of competing with the best teams in the league.

Key to their success has been their defensive identity, with players like Manzano and Montebon stepping up in critical moments. As they prepare to take on La Salle, Adamson will need to maintain their composure and continue executing their game plan to extend their Cinderella run.

Looking Ahead
The UAAP Season 87 Final Four promises to deliver thrilling basketball action as the league’s top teams vie for a coveted spot in the finals. Adamson’s clash with La Salle will undoubtedly be a test of character and skill, as the Soaring Falcons look to defy the odds and make history.

Meanwhile, the UE Red Warriors will regroup and look to build on the positives from this season, with hopes of finally ending their postseason drought in UAAP Season 88.

For Adamson supporters, the dream is alive. The Soaring Falcons are ready to spread their wings and soar higher than ever before.
